Yahoo authorization
Sideline uses Yahoo OAuth 2.0. You choose whether to connect your Yahoo account and authorize access. Sideline currently requests read-only access to the Yahoo Fantasy information needed to operate the product.
Sideline cannot change a lineup, add or drop a player, submit a waiver claim, accept a trade, or perform another transaction in Yahoo. You make every move directly in Yahoo.
Information Sideline reads
After authorization, Sideline may read the league, team, roster, player, matchup, scoring and transaction information required to show your week and explain its recommendations.
Information Sideline creates
Edge ratings, reasoning, evidence notes, saved decisions, Measure results and Assess grades are Sideline features. They are not Yahoo recommendations or Yahoo projections.
Product analytics
During early access, Sideline may record visits and which product screens are opened so the experience can be improved. Player and roster information is not used as analytics event content.
Disconnecting Yahoo
You can revoke Sideline’s Yahoo authorization through your Yahoo account’s connected-app settings. Revoking authorization prevents Sideline from making future Yahoo API requests on your behalf.
Retention and deletion
The exact retention period for cached Yahoo information and the direct Sideline deletion process are being finalized during early access. These details, together with a working deletion request path, must be published before broader public launch.
